New range of STOLZ canal barges loading duct system - November 2011

The new range of STOLZ canal barges loading duct system is able to load barges at a capacity of up to 600t/h thus meeting perfectly the needs of the European Waterway Network (and the future Paris/Belgium waterway).

Derived from STOLZ experience in the port facilities, these canal barges ship loaders are designed to provide a maximum reliability, a lower operating cost and to lessen the environmental impact.

Electrical cylinders for motion control are provided for an accurate and safe drive of the duct system. Several other advantages can be added regarding a hydraulic solution:

• Low power consumption
• Easier maintenance
• Limited maintenance
• Lower noise level
• No risks of leakage

These duct heads are designed to be watertight and dust proof. A ceramic coating is available in order to guarantee the maximum lifetime of this equipment.

These ducts are coated with polyamide to reduce wear and tear and ensure an optimum product flow. Each wearing part can be easily removable.

Self Standing Automatic Screen Selector - September 2011

STOLZ will exhibit its new SAGA (self standing automatic screen selector) at the SPACE trade show. That equipment is designed to automatically insert a set of screens into an hammermill. The set of screens is automatically selected between one of the 4 sets in stand by.
Automatic insertion of screens allows to reduce the time of production stops, to improve the production smoothness and to gain a traceability of the screens. Working conditions are improved through the limitation of accidents risks and noise exposure.

The new range of SAGA benefits of a smaller size. Most of the time it can be placed in the limited size of an existing grinding installation. The SAGA is actuated by electric devices in order to benefit of smooth actions, an improved safety and energy saving.

STOLZ has also changed the design of the new SAGA in order to take advantage of its modern production tools and to be good value for money.

You will be able to discover that machine at the SPACE trade show in Rennes, France (13th to 16th September).

New chain reclaimer in China for FEC II

DESMET BALLESTRA STOLZ has installed a new chain reclaimer in China for FEC II. The supervision of that installation has been developped by our automation team in France. A network connection between France and China was used for the start up of that equipment. That remote control has allowed our team to adapt the chain reclaimer supervision to it's working environment in only 2 days.

The chain reclaimer can be used to optimize the storage capacities through bottom flat equalizing. At discharging stage it is designed for removing residual heaps. Chain reclaimer is safer than the traditional use of excavators as no human has to be present in the storage area.
